ALERTNOW Notification Service Now being used in the Kearsarge
Regional School District
Dear Kearsarge Regional School District
Parents/Guardians: Keeping
you informed is a top priority in the KRSD and that is why we have recently
adopted the ALERTNOW Notification Service. This service will allow us to send a telephone or email
message to you providing important information about school events or
emergencies. We anticipate using
ALERTNOW to notify you of school delays or cancellations due to inclement
weather, as well as remind you about various school events. The district office
will make the notification of emergency closures while individual schools may
utilize the service for selected school events. The successful delivery of information is
dependent upon accurate contact information for each student, so please make
certain that we have your most current phone numbers. If this information changes during the year, please let us
know immediately. “Please indicate the name of the parent or guardian to be
contacted first in case of an emergency” – this phone number will be the main
number ALERTNOW uses to notify you.
If for some reason this number changes, please contact your child’s school
office to update your student’s emergency contact information. What you need to know when ALERTNOW calls
you: •
Caller ID will
display 526-2051 - (SAU Office number) for school delays and cancellations •
Caller ID will
display 411 – for emergency information /situations •
You must say
“hello” when you answer the phone as the technology must hear a voice to deliver the message. •
ALERTNOW will
leave a message on any answering machine or voicemail •
Caller ID will
display Your child’s school
number for any school specific announcements We are very excited to incorporate ALERTNOW as a tool to improve
parent communication and look forward to having the ability to deliver real
time information to you. Please
help us keep you informed by making sure we have accurate contact information
for your child(ren). Jerry Frew Superintendent of Schools |
