Fourth Grade Rocks!!
We have...
 Hands on Science Units:
Simple
Machines, Energy, Ecology, Rocks and Minerals, and the Human Body
 Social Studies Units that
involve simulations and role play:
Explorers, Colonial
America and the Revolutionary War
 Challenging
Math Blocks:
We will be changing classes and groupings in Math. There will
be two math blocks each day: Trailblazers with Mrs. Sweet and Skills
Class with Mrs. Perkins (Me!) These classes will be hands on,
challenging, and fun. You will become strong mathematicians this year!
 A Rockin' Reading Block:
Great books to
choose, quiet time just to curl up with a book, mini-lessons that will
make reading come alive, books, books and more books. Oh, yes, and more
great books!
 Time
to Write:
Writer's workshop will help you become
talented writers. You will write stories, essays, poems, letters, you
name it - you will write it this year.
