Who is Mrs. J ... anyway?

Well, well what can you say?

Who exactly is this Mrs. J?

She the teacher in the room that's yellow,
she's sometimes silly and sometimes mellow!

Mrs. J. has a boy and a girl who are big,
all have yellow hair, none wear a wig!

She lives with a bad dog named Spike,
who loves to dance on two legs and go for a hike.

Mrs. J. loves to sing and ski and read,
a warm fire, hot cocoa and good book is her need.

But her one true love she found later in life,
at a place she walks to, without any strife.

New London Elementary is her home away from home,
her Kindergarten room is where she loves to roam.

Learning letters with shaving cream, pudding and rice,
a shape-search and leaf hunt in Autumn is nice.

Making snow angels in Winter, wearing warm mittens
reading stories about teddy bears, puppies and kittens.

She gets ready for the arrival of the season of Spring,
with new poems to read and new songs to sing!

Making piles of books, she gets ready for sun
to the beach she heads for some swimming and fun.

A time to catch up on the books she did miss,
to run in the sand for some warm weather bliss.

And then the best time of the year rolls around
When she heads back to her classroom without a sound.

Mrs. J. feeds her fish, a Beta-boy named Jazz,
decorates the new cubbies with razamatazz!

The birthday balloons are made and hung on the wall,
Mr. Centipede starts his colorful growth way up tall.

She puts up the flag and lets out a great sigh,
thinking of the songs K-friends sing, that always make her cry ...

The Friday Folders are set next to the Share-Bear
The markers are sorted and handled with care.

The kitchen toys are placed out, the marbles set loose,
she gets out the books of Eric Carle and Dr. Seuss.

The alphabet chart is hung at a great height,
the pencils are sharpened as she gets ready to write ...

Letters go home to her new K-friends for the year,
She knows they will become so close, so dear.

Her heart was so heavy as she bid farewell
to last year's students she knew so well.

But as the new year starts, Mrs. J. will soon see,
that new friends will make her Oh, so happyyyyy!!!

At the end of year, you will hear her say ...

Hip, Hip Hooray for New London- K!!!
