DJEA- SCHOOL FOOD AUTHORITY CODE OF CONDUCT

SCHOOL FOOD AUTHORITY CODE OF CONDUCT

This Code of Conduct implements the Code of Conduct requirements for a school food authority required by 2 CFR 200.318.

The Kearsarge Regional School District seeks to conduct all procurement procedures:

  • in compliance with stated regulations; and
  • to prohibit conflicts of interest and actions of employees engaged in the selection, award and administration of contracts.

No employee, officer, or agent of the Kearsarge Regional School District will participate in the selection, award, or administration of a contract supported by a Federal, State or local award if he or she has a real or apparent conflict of interest.

Conflicts of interest arise when one of the following has a financial or other interest in the firm considered or selected for a contract:

  • The employee, officer or agent;
  • Any member of the employee, officer or agent’s immediate family;
  • His or her partner; or
  • An organization which employs or is about to employ any of the parties listed above, has a financial or other interest in, or a tangible personal benefit from, a firm considered or selected for a contract.

Officers, employees and agents of the Kearsarge Regional School District may neither solicit nor accept gratuities, favors, or anything of monetary value from contractors or parties to subcontracts.

The Kearsarge Regional School District will take appropriate disciplinary action against any officers, employees, or agents who violate this Code of Conduct.  Based on the severity of the infraction, the penalties could include a written reprimand, a suspension with or without pay, termination, or any necessary legal action.
