KR - Building Use

I.  Community Use of School Facilities: 

The School Board of the Kearsarge Regional School District believes that the school buildings and grounds should be available for use by non-profit community organizations and groups that promote the welfare of the community, including use as a registration and polling place for voters when not used for regular purposes.  The School Board recognizes its responsibility to safeguard school property. Provisions for use of school property by individuals and groups which make a profit from such use and for out-of-District organizations will be made.  It is the responsibility of the Superintendent to develop and implement procedures for the public use of school district buildings and grounds. 

Authorization for the use of school facilities shall not be considered an endorsement of or approval of the activity, group, or organization nor the purposes they represent. 
In accordance with the School Board’s policy, there shall be no discrimination on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, race, color, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, age, or disability for employment in, participation in, admission or access to, or operation and administration of any educational program or activity in the School District.
  
Activities that will be permitted will be locally sponsored and are:

  1. Beneficial to the programs of the Kearsarge Schools
  2. Beneficial to the Youth of the communities of the District
  3. Beneficial to the recreational programs of the communities of the District
  4. Beneficial to the governing bodies of the Towns
  5. Beneficial to the literary, cultural, civic organizations of the communities of the District
  6. The use does not increase the tax burden on the citizens
  7. There will be no interference with school activities

Fees will be reviewed annually.
