Introduction:

Kearsarge Regional High School offers an Adult Diploma Program for adolescents and adults who have been unable to succeed in a traditional high school setting.

Program Goal:

The fundamental goal of the Kearsarge Adult Diploma Program (KADP) is to make it possible for students (16 years of age or older) to complete their high school education by providing an accommodating and supportive environment where the groundwork is laid for success in either post-secondary education or the job market.

Mission Statement:

Each student can learn, achieve, and participate as a responsible community member. The mission of KADP is to provide a school environment which accepts each person as an individual and guarantees opportunities for his/her intellectual, social, emotional and physical development.

Program Outcomes:

The adult program enrolls approximately 50 students from the greater Kearsarge region. All enrolled students must meet the graduation requirements of the program. Although we are not a GED site, students can take classes through this program to prepare for the exam.

If you are not currently enrolled in high school, you can still earn your diploma! The Kearsarge Adult Diploma Program offers classes at an affordable price. All potential students must meet with the director of adult education in order to enroll. The evening Adult Diploma classes provide adults, out-of-school youth from any district and in-school youth the opportunity to earn credits towards a high school diploma.  The Kearsarge Adult Diploma is fully accredited and awards diplomas each June to its graduates.  A student can also have the credits transferred to his/her local high school if lacking credits for graduation.  A transcript is needed if a student wishes to graduate with a KADP Diploma so that a program of studies can be mapped out.  If a class is taken for enrichment no transcript is needed. Course needs are determined by qualifying classes previously taken in high school. Additionally, credit for work, homemaking, military, and other experiential learning is computed according to state guidelines. Terms begin in September, January, and May. Classes meet weekly at Kearsarge Regional High School for 15 weeks. Classes typically run from 5-8 PM, depending on schedule and credit needs. For a current schedule of available classes and times, please click on the KADP registration file on the bottom of the page. Also, for a full application packet please click on and print the KADP application packet at the bottom of the page. This paperwork is necessary for registration and enrollment.

The Kearsarge Adult Diploma Program follows the Kearsarge School District calendar for vacations, holidays and weather cancellations.
