Partnering with NLPD

The 22-23 school year has kicked off with a much bigger NLPD presence at KRES-NL.  Chief Cobb and Lieutenant Keith joined a summer staff meeting and shared their ideas of how they could be part of the greater learning community at the elementary school.  Parents, students, and staff are really excited to see our officers meeting and greeting, holding doors open, and high-fiving with staff and students in the morning as well as waving good-bye at afternoon dismissal.  It's been a pleasure having NLPD as part of the team.  We are looking forward to our upcoming Student Leadership Project: Getting to know the New London Police Department.  Stay tuned for that fun bulletin board at KRES-NL (similar to the one we did with bus drivers a few years ago).
