 KRHS Announcements

Friday, April 9th, 2021

  • JUNIORS - if you are taking the SAT's on Tuesday, April 13th and you would like to leave after you are done with your test, you will need parent permission. Please bring in a note or have your parents call the front office as soon as possible.

  • Hello 2021ers! Are you planning on going to a 2 or 4-year college? Maybe you are thinking about going to trade school (plumbing, heating, cosmetology, etc) after KRHS? If this applies to you then please fill out an application for a Rotary ScholarshipThe scholarship is due Monday April 10th. Please come and see me in the school counseling office with any questions or if I can be of help filling out this or any other scholarship! The great folks at Rotary want to support you after high school, please apply for one of their scholarships. ** Mrs. Calvert sent a local scholarship packet to your email a while back. You can access all scholarships via the email she sent out.
  • Calling all Seniors it’s that time! Anyone who wants to participate in the Senior Show there will be an informational meeting during flex with Mrs Nelson on Friday 4/9. The show this year will be 13 ways to screw up your college interview, a very funny show. If you have any questions or cannot attend the meeting please email Julia Marquardt at Julia.marquardt@kearsarge.org hope to see you all on Friday!
  • Mr. Roddy is excited about next week’s virtual HYPE conference on Wednesday April 14th and looks forward to Kearsarge students participating in this year’s discussion!  The essential question for the conference is:  How do individuals work together in the midst of change? If you're interested in attending, please reach out to Mr. Roddy!

  • SENIORS - The cap and gown purchase fee is currently $15. Both cash and checks are accepted.  Checks can be written out to KRHS. If you are not sure if you have already paid, please contact Mr. Bianchi.

  • Yearbooks are still for sale for $45.00. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Valerio.

  • SENIORS - Don't forget to turn in your paperwork for your community service hours to the main office. You need 20 hours to graduate!!! If you have any questions, please go to guidance.

  • Save the date - The SAT's are scheduled for April 13th, 2021. The test will be held during school hours in the school building.  If you are a remote student, you are expected to attend school in person on this day to take the test. Eleventh grade students are pre-registered by KRHS, so you do not need to sign up.  Stay tuned for more information about times and classroom locations for testing. We have SAT Study Guides available in the School Counseling office or at the Main office. If you are a fully remote student, please let me know how you would like to pick up your study guide. This is a great time to start practicing for the SATS through your Naviance account or https://www.khanacademy.org/test-prep/sat.  If you have any questions at all, please feel free Mrs. Schrader!

  • Tutoring Availability - Need a little extra support in class?  Interested in having someone explain it a different way?  Students in the National Honor Society want to tutor YOU!  If you have an interest in this, please contact either Ms. Newman or Ms. Wirkkala, and we will help to arrange a schedule.  The end of the quarter is right around the corner so take advantage of this great opportunity!

  • Attendance and Learning Mode -  Students should plan to be here on their scheduled days unless they are excused for a valid reason.  Any student that should be IN-SCHOOL will be marked ABSENT unless justification for learning remotely is provided by the family. Students choosing to learn remotely for the day, must have a parent or guardian call stating the reason for change in learning mode.  Attendance will be adjusted to PR (Present Remote) when a valid reason is provided.

  • Remote Learning Students are viewed by the teacher as synchronous learners, and are expected to participate in direct instruction, lesson activities, guided practice, and homework as are the other members of the class present in the school environment. Students learning remotely are required to attend all class sessions scheduled for them. Participation in the entire learning session is required to be credited for full attendance.  Students that are unable to show they are in attendance or drop out of meetings early, will be marked as absent if they can not prove that they are in attendance.  Legitimate absences will be coded as excused.
